Welcome to The NGC EGGS Section

Hello everyone,

I'm Alan Singleton, and I'm genuinely thrilled to be taking on the role of Captain for the EGGS for the upcoming year.

Our section, for male golfers 55 and over, is a well-organised and welcoming group that offers regular Tuesday morning tee times for individual and team games, as well as friendly matches with other clubs. We have some exciting 'Majors' that give you a chance to get your name on the honours board and earn a trophy.

While I may be the new captain, the EGGS runs smoothly thanks to our dedicated committee. We work to ensure everyone feels welcome, whether you're a long-standing member or new to the section. Speaking of which, if you want to join us, it couldn't be easier. Just get in touch with me or any of the committee members. A nominal £1 joining fee gets you access to our weekly newsletter and dedicated Tuesday tee times.

I'm passionate about music and a keen cyclist, and I believe in a good balance of sport and camaraderie. We ’ll be bringing that spirit to the EGGS this year, both on the course and in the 19th hole, where we meet up after a round to share stories and announce the day's results.

This year, I have chosen Prostate Cancer UK as my charity. It's a cause that's important to me, and we'll be organising some fundraising activities throughout the year to support them. I'm sure you'll all be generous with your support.
